Alfred B Bower
(Rank, Unit) Private, 3rd Art. Sergeant USA Alabama - 4/16/1898 E 384 107 Bower was a sergeant in Company G of the 13th United States Infantry Regiment. Formed early in the Civil War, the 13th later saw service in the campaigns of the Indian Wars and then in the Spanish-American War. Bower died just before the war began. In April of 2004 both the US Department of Veteran's Affairs Nationwide Gravesite Locator and the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs Database listed Bower's rank as that of private. The Veteran's Affairs Database also listed his unit as the 3rd. Artillery. |
